Minimalist Photography

One thing that I really want to improve is my photography skills. I like to take pictures, it's something that fascinates me but despite the love I feel that I still cannot see beyond what my eyes can see. What I want to say is that there's much more than just the sum of everything you see that composes the scene. Sometimes textures, curves, shadows and other details can produce incredible photos, espeically if you are a lover of minimalism like I am.

For this post I want to share some photos I found online, on Flickr. Yes, you heard it right, I still use Flickr to find inspiration. It used to be one of my favorite sites, with great communities. Nowadays it's still a good site, maybe I should get back to it more often.

The term minimalism is also used to describe a trend in design and architecture, wherein the subject is reduced to its necessary elements. Minimalistic design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture. The works of De Stijl artists are a major reference: De Stijl expanded the ideas of expression by meticulously organizing basic elements such as lines and planes.
