Coming out from the Winter season, the change of climate and temperature get me all fuzzed up about the nature. We don't take much time looking at what's around us, the daily reality that we tend to forget with our busy lives. Well, Øystein Aspelund does understand this concept and his "hibernation" series totally reflects that.
The series HIBERNATION is a series which investigates subconsciousness, and the sometimes grey boundary between truth and fiction. It is a personal project that is utilizing man and his relation to the landscape as an investigative tool. Based upon real places and events, this series is intending to catch the moments when our daily reality and our subconscious world sometimes strike each other. It is a stream of frozen moments, where the story between each frame is as important as the frame itself.

Øystein is based from Trondheim, Norway and he's a photographer is quite interested in visual expressions. Coming from an architecture background, he enjoys exploring his images through themes and ideas. Like many of us, Øystein just let his camera takes him, to a different world where people don't usually see.
