I posted a few times already about what I believe are the new trends in web design and the project that Hachetresele Studio created for Zona de Proyecto. N21 illustrates that quite well. I know it's a graphic design project but I have seen designers adopting and translating that style to the web with great success, especially with the use of parallax and other scrolling effects. Day 0. A design scheme. A magazine cover with a main figure for the next 90 days. Next, a new scheme and new upcoming figures. 30 days turn into 60 and 60 into 90. Time for the next issue.
