The respondants provided their thoughts about their education, career path, roles, compensation ranges, tool preferences, income variables, purchasing habits and more. Design plays a leading role at 38 percent of the world's largest organizations. At startups, it's even higher with 65 percent leading with design.
87 percent of designers prototype during their design process to visualize, communicate their ideas, and explore solutions, with 76 percent using rapid prototyping tools. Only 2 in 5 designers are involved in code development.
